Motets and Mass in E Minor
Only three of Bruckner's six complete masses are fully
scored for choir and accompanying ensemble. This, his
second, is distinct from the first and third in that it
employs only wind instruments, and is generally more
intimate and less symphonic in style. It is a challenging work with the choir frequently split
into 8 parts of extremes in register
and unconventional harmonies. |
